David Helm

Lead Pastor, Christ Church (Chicago)

David serves as the lead pastor of Christ Church Chicago and Chairman of the Board of the Charles Simeon Trust, an organization dedicated to the sound preaching of God’s Word. Before that, he served as Lead Pastor in the Hyde Park congregation of Holy Trinity Church. A graduate of Wheaton College, and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, David is ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and serves on the council of The Gospel Coalition. For Crossway, he authored 1 & 2 Peter and JudeThe Big Picture Story Bible, and contributed to Preach the Word: Essays on Expository Preaching in Honor of Kent Hughes. He also authored One-to-One Bible Reading for Matthias Media and the 9Marks volume Expositional Preaching.

CARSON

D.A. Carson

Research Professor of New Testament, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Retired)

Don is the retired research professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, where taught since 1978. He also previously served as professor and dean at Northwest Baptist Theological Seminary in Vancouver. Additionally, he has years of pastoral experience in Canada and the United Kingdom. He earned a BS in chemistry from McGill University, MDiv from Central Baptist Seminary in Toronto and DPhil in New Testament from Cambridge University. He is a member of the Tyndale Fellowship for Biblical Research, the SBL, the Evangelical Theological Society and co-founded The Gospel Coalition. He has written or edited more than 45 books including An Introduction to the New Testament and Becoming Conversant with the Emerging Church.

LAWRENCE

Michael Lawrence

Lead Pastor, Hinson Baptist Church

Michael became Senior Pastor at Hinson Baptist Church in Portland, Oregon in September, 2010. Michael came to faith at an early age, but never understood that the Christian life was more than salvation until he was introduced to the InterVarsity campus ministry at Duke. Michael earned an MDiv at Gordon-Conwell and a PhD from Cambridge University in 2002. He served as Associate Pastor for more than 8 years at Capitol Hill Baptist in Washington D.C. He is the author of Biblical Theology in the Life of the Church: A Guide for Ministry, co-author of It Is Well: Expositions on Substitutionary Atonement (with Mark Dever), and contributed to Perspectives on Christian Worship: Five Views.

Stephen Wellum

Professor of Christian Theology, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary

Stephen is Professor of Christian Theology at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He earned a BS from Roberts Wesleyan University and an MDiv and PhD from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Before coming to SBTS, he served as a pastor in South Dakota and Kentucky. In addition to teaching, Stephen serves as the Editor of the Southern Baptist Journal of Theology and is the author of several reviews, academic articles and book chapters, and is the co-author (with Peter J. Gentry) of Kingdom Through Covenant: A Biblical-Theological Understanding of the Covenants.

Vaughan Roberts

Rector, St. Ebbe's Church

Vaughan is the Rector of St. Ebbe’s Church in Oxford, where he has served since 1991. Vaughan attended Selwyn College, University of Cambridge, where he was also the President of the Christian Union. He has written several books, including God’s Big PictureLife’s Big QuestionsTurning PointsMissing the PointDistinctives, and True Worship. He also serves as the Chairman of 9:38, an organization which encourages people to consider full-time gospel ministry. Since 2009, he has also served as the President of the Proclamation Trust.

O’DONNELL

Douglas Sean O’Donnell

Senior Pastor, Westminster Presbyterian Church

Doug is Senior Pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Elgin, Illinois. He previously served as Senior Lecturer in Biblical Studies and Practical Theology at Queensland Theological College in Brisbane, Australia. He is a graduate of Wheaton College, Wheaton Graduate School, and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School; and earned his PhD from the University of Aberdeen. Doug is the author of several books, including commentaries on the Song of Songs, Ecclesiastes, the Gospel of Matthew, and John’s Epistles. With R. Kent Hughes, he wrote and edited The Pastor’s Book: A Comprehensive and Practical Guide to Pastoral Ministry.

G.K. Beale

Professor of New Testament and Biblical Theology, Westminster Theological Seminary

Greg is Professor of New Testament and Biblical Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He earned a BA and an MA from Southern Methodist University, a ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a PhD from the University of Cambridge. He has served on the faculties of Grove College, Wheaton College Graduate School, and now Westminster. He is the author of several academic articles and books, including A New Testament Biblical TheologyThe Temple and the Church’s Mission: A Biblical Theology of the Dwelling Place of God, and The Book of Revelation in the NIGTC series.

GOLDSWORTHY

Graeme Goldsworthy

Lecturer in Old Testament, Moore Theological College (Retired)

Now retired, Graeme was formerly lecturer in Old Testament, biblical theology and hermeneutics at Moore Theological College in Sydney, Australia. He is the author of According to Plan and Preaching the Whole Bible as Christian Scripture. Goldsworthy has an MA from Cambridge University and a ThM and PhD from Union Theological Seminary in Virginia.
