David Helm
Lead Pastor, Christ Church Chicago
David serves as the senior pastor of Christ Church Chicago and Chairman of the Board of the Charles Simeon Trust, an organization dedicated to the sound preaching of God’s Word. Before that, he served as Lead Pastor in the Hyde Park congregation of Holy Trinity Church. A graduate of Wheaton College, and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, David is ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). For Crossway, he authored 1 & 2 Peter and Jude, The Big Picture Story Bible, and contributed to Preach the Word: Essays on Expository Preaching in Honor of Kent Hughes. He also authored One-to-One Bible Reading for Matthias Media and the 9Marks volume Expositional Preaching.
Jeremy Meeks
Director of the Chicago Course on Preaching
Jeremy is the Director and Lead Instructor of the Chicago Course on Preaching. He is also the Assistant Pastor for Ministry Apprenticeships at Christ Church Chicago. Previously, he served as a pastor in Nashville, TN and Nicaragua. He studied at Liberty University and Trinity Graduate School before completing a PhD in Theological Ethics at the University of Aberdeen. Jeremy was the Director of Spanish-Language Initiatives of the Charles Simeon Trust until 2019. He continues to regularly instruct at Workshops around the world.
Kevin Walker
Assistant Pastor for Ministry Training, Holy Trinity Church
Kevin serves as the Assistant Pastor for Ministry Training at Holy Trinity Church in Chicago, Illinois. He took on the role of Director of Ministries for the Charles Simeon Trust in 2024, having been on the team in different capacities since 2016. Kevin has served as lecturer in New Testament and Greek at the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Osijek, Croatia and as the Principal of Kinshasa Christian School in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the Moody Bible Institute and completed an MDiv at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is married to Alyssa and they live with their children, Manny and Sayira, in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago.
K. Edward Copeland

Darrell Young
Pastor, Crossway Community Church
Darrell the Pastor of Crossway Community Church in Canmore, Alberta. Before that, he served as the Lead Pastor at Strathmore Alliance Church near Calgary, Alberta, for 18 years. He studied at Simpson University and Simpson Graduate School of Theology in San Francisco and completed an MABTS at Ambrose Seminary in Calgary. He also serves as the Director of Asian Initiatives at the Charles Simeon Trust. He is also responsible for advancement and operations in our Canadian office, serving on the board as the Executive Director.
Mervyn Eloff
Rector, St James Church, Kenilworth
Mervyn is the Rector of St James Church, Kenilworth in Cape Town South Africa. After completing undergraduate degrees in Science and Theology, he earned a DTh in New Testament Studies from the University of Stellenbosch. Before joining the staff at St James, Mervyn served in churches in London, Stellenbosch, and Cape Town and as a lecturer and vice Principal at George Whitefield College in Cape Town. He has contributed to Built on the Rock: Studies in Matthew’s Gospel (Eerdmans), The Proclamation Bible, and has authored Teaching 1,2, 3 John and Teaching James (PT Resources – Christian Focus). His doctoral thesis is titled From the Exile to the Christ: Exile, Restoration and the Theology of Matthew’s Gospel. In his role as Director of African Initiatives, he helps with the design and implementation of the workshop portfolio in Africa, focusing particularly on the training of instructors for international Workshops.
Nicolás Osorio
Associate Director of Spanish-Language Initiatives (South America)
Nicolás serves as pastor of Iglesia Bautista Renacer en Bogotá, Colombia. He has a BS in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute and is currently pursuing an MDiv at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also serves as the Associate Director of Spanish-Language Initiatives for the Charles Simeon Trust. Nicolás joined the team in May 2018 and is responsible for assisting in planning and executing the Workshop in South America and assisting in the Online Courses.

Andrew McAlister
Manager of Portuguese-Language Initiatives
Andrew serves as Director of Communications for Igreja Cristã Nova Vida (ICNV), assisting the denomination’s college of bishops and presbytery. He also manages Instituto Bispo Roberto McAlister de Estudos Cristãos (IBRMEC), the denomination’s online seminary. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Portuguese language and literature from Pontifícia Universidade Católica and studied theology at IBRMEC. Andrew and his wife, Livia, are members of ICNV Catedral church, in Rio de Janeiro, where he is part of the worship team and oversees the local bookstore, having previously worked with the church’s youth. Andrew is primarily responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of the Workshop portfolio in Brazil, hosting the Rio de Janeiro Workshop, and assisting in the production of Portuguese resources.

Colleen McFadden
Director of Women's Workshops
Colleen serves as the Director of Women’s Workshops for the Charles Simeon Trust where she is responsible for all activities related to the Workshops for women Bible teachers. She helps teach in the women’s ministry at Windsor Baptist Church where she and her husband are members. Colleen was previously in the corporate world for several years in sales and marketing. She earned a BS in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. She also serves on the board of Matthias Media Ministries.
