This two-day conference is hosted by the Charles Simeon Trust and 9Marks (hosted at Tyndale Theological Seminary and Geloofstoerusting) and is focused on the centrality of the gospel and its proclamation for the formation and transformation of the Church. The aim is to think deeply, and yet practically, about the nature and purpose of the church, and the gospel we proclaim.

Lead Pastor (Hyde Park), Holy Trinity Church

David serves as the lead pastor of the Hyde Park congregation of Holy Trinity Church in Chicago and as Chairman of the Board of the Charles Simeon Trust, an organization dedicated to the sound preaching of God’s Word. A graduate of Wheaton College, and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, David is ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and serves on the council of The Gospel Coalition. For Crossway, he authored 1 & 2 Peter and JudeThe Big Picture Story Bible, and contributed to Preach the Word: Essays on Expository Preaching in Honor of Kent Hughes. He also authored One-to-One Bible Reading for Matthias Media and the 9Marks volume Expositional Preaching.

Pastor, Freie Evangelische Gemeinde

Matthias is the pastor of Freie Evangelische Gemeinde (Evangelical Free Church) in Munich, Germany. Matthias studied Political Science, Economics and Modern History and then worked in management positions in Germany and the United States. During this time, he earned a master’s degree from the Reformed Theological Seminary in Washington D.C. Since October 2008, he has served the FEG Munich-Mitte as a pastor. He is also the founder and first president of Evangelium21 and is a member of the leadership and teaching staff of the Munich Study Center of the Martin Bucer Seminary.

Lead Pastor, Grace Harbor Church

Kevin is the Lead Pastor of Grace Harbor Church in Providence, Rhode Island. He received a degree in Communications from Carson-Newman College, having attended at a distance while working on staff at a church in Knoxville, Tennessee, as a student minister. In 2006, Kevin and his family moved to Washington D.C., where Kevin was a part of the internship program and then the staff of Capitol Hill Baptist Church. Kevin was sent out by Capitol Hill Baptist Church in August 2008 to Providence to become the pastor of Grace Harbor Church. He completed his formal theological training at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville.
