What Is It?
The Workshop on Biblical Exposition is a three-day training event aimed to encourage and equip you in the skills needed to read, understand, and proclaim the Word of God.
Who Should Attend?
The Workshops on Biblical Exposition are for men who are responsible for regularly preaching and teaching. We also welcome those in bi-vocational ministries as well as those training for ministry. Women Bible teachers can check out our Women’s Workshops.
How Should I Prepare?
During the small groups, you will have an opportunity to get feedback on work you’ve prepared in advance.
Mike Bullmore
Senior Pastor, CrossWay Community Church
Mike serves as Senior Pastor of CrossWay Community Church in Bristol, Wisconsin. Mike earned a diploma in Bible and Theology at Moody Bible Institute and a BA in Biblical Studies from Wheaton College. He then earned an MDiv and ThM from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, followed by a PhD in Rhetorical History and Criticism from Northwestern University. Prior to leading the launch of CrossWay Community Church in 1998, Mike served for 15 years as an Associate Professor of Homiletics and Pastoral Theology, as well as chairman of the Practical Theology Department at TEDS. He also serves on the council of The Gospel Coalition.
Kesavan Balasingham
Pastor, Fellowship Church Rouge Park
Kesavan Balasingham serves as the founding pastor of Fellowship Church Rouge Park in Toronto, Ontario. He earned his earned a BRE in Christian Ministry at Tyndale University College & Seminary. Kesavan has been serving in Pastoral ministry since 2011, and planted Fellowship Church Rouge Park in 2014 with a small core group. He also serves with the Canadian National Baptist Convention in the area of Pastoral Development, focusing on church based theological training.
Janick Fortier
Academic Dean, Séminaire Baptiste Évangélique du Québec
Janick has served for over 10 years as an elder at Église Baptiste Évangélique de Repentigny, preaching and teaching in small groups. He serves as the Academic Dean at Séminaire Baptiste Évangélique du Québec (SEMBEQ), where he teaches and coaches students. While completing a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and a Diploma in Ergonomics, Janick completed his undergraduate theology program with SEMBEQ, followed by a Master of Theological Studies at Trinity Western University. Janick is now pursuing a PhD with the Free University of Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam).
Nicholas Cotnoir
Pastor, Église Baptiste Évangélique Emmanuel
Nick serves as an Elder Pastor of Église Baptiste Évangélique Emmanuel in Pierrefonds. After earning a BA in mechanical engineering and working in the secular world for several years, he completed his undergraduate theology degree at Séminaire Baptiste Évangelique Du Québec (SEMBEQ), he earned a DMin in Expository Preaching from the Master’s Seminary while transitioning into full-time pastoral work. In addition to being the main Bible teacher at Emmanuel, he also teaches Pastoral Theology at SEMBEQ and coaches several students, including many from his church.
