What Is It?
The Workshop on Biblical Exposition is a three-day training event aimed to encourage and equip you in the skills needed to read, understand, and proclaim the Word of God.
Who Should Attend?
The Workshops on Biblical Exposition are for men who are responsible for regularly preaching and teaching. We also welcome those in bi-vocational ministries as well as those training for ministry. Women Bible teachers can check out our Women’s Workshops.
How Should I Prepare?
During the small groups, you will have an opportunity to get feedback on work you’ve prepared in advance.
Josh Black
Lead Pastor, First Evangelical Free Church
Josh Black is the Lead Pastor of First Evangelical Free Church in Wichita, Kansas. He earned a BA from Kansas State University and an MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. He also serves on the Board of the Classical School of Wichita.
Jim Powell
Lead Pastor, Christ Community Church
Jim is Lead Pastor of Christ Community Church in Johnson City, TN. For the past several years he has been intentionally bi-vocational, also serving as an executive in non-profits that address substandard housing. Prior to his current post, Jim served as church planter of West Valley Presbyterian Church in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, and pastor of Harmony Presbyterian Church in Kingsport, Tennessee. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
