A Short Word, April 2026
Arman Aubakirov is a busy pastor in Almaty, Kazakhstan who also runs a Christian publishing company. One might think he’s doing enough, but he feels called to do more: train preachers. Across Central Asia, the church is extremely small. Most people are nominally Muslim. As a first-generation believer, Arman sees an urgent need for more churches with pastors equipped to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ from God’s Word.
In order to grow, Arman signed up for the Chicago Course on Preaching. Learning from other preachers helped him. Arman feels enabled “to speak much more clearly and speak as myself.” Even his wife has noticed a difference, saying, “I never realized how unclear you were until you started the Chicago Course and grew in your clarity.” Arman left convinced that it’s vital to learn preaching from other preachers.
And he’s eager to replicate the experience, both through Charles Simeon Trust Workshops in Central Asia and through other training avenues. Please pray that God spreads the gospel through more faithful pastors who proclaim his Word.
In Christ,
