Tools Worth Passing On

Girem Esdrelon joined a church planting team in Cebu, Philippines, to disciple and teach women. They are “hungry to be equipped,” she says. But you can only equip out of the training you have, and when the church entered a difficult period, Girem and fellow teacher Lynne Pueblos-Busime wished they had more.

They found something worth passing on when their husbands attended a Workshop on Biblical Exposition in 2024. “They were overwhelmed in a very positive way,” says Girem. Immediately, she and Lynne began learning the Bible study tools from their husbands and passing them on to the women of the church. Last month, Girem and Lynne jumped at the chance to attend the first Workshop for women in Manila.

Better Bible reading habits are being baked into the culture of Apologia Gospel Church. Girem says, “We’re growing our seriousness in reading the Scriptures.”

Please pray for the Bible teachers across the Philippines as Lynne requested, “That we will grow, be faithful in handling the Word, and have increasing love for Christ.”
