James Zhishi

James He was born and raised in an intellectual family in Shanghai. He became a Christian during his undergraduate studies and, after graduation, work for a furtune 500 company and eventually starting his own business in the sports industry. During this time, he earned an MBA degree, married his wife Sunny, and together they had a daughter named Anna. After 12 years of navigating in the marketplace, he was involved in para-church ministry and eventually was called to full-time pastoral ministry. He completed his Mdiv at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (2015-2019) and, during his studies, planted the CityLife Presbyterian Church Chinese congregation in downtown Boston. In 2019, he returned to China and continued church planting in Shanghai. James loves running, baseball, movies, traveling, food, and coffee. Recently James started rock climbing with Anna.
