What Is It?
The Workshop on Biblical Exposition is a three-day training event aimed to encourage and equip you in the skills needed to read, understand, and proclaim the Word of God.
Who Should Attend?
The Workshops on Biblical Exposition are for men who are responsible for regularly preaching and teaching. We also welcome those in bi-vocational ministries as well as those training for ministry. Women Bible teachers can check out our Women’s Workshops.
How Should I Prepare?
During the small groups, you will have an opportunity to get feedback on work you’ve prepared in advance.
Kevin Walker
Assistant Pastor for Ministry Training, Holy Trinity Church
Kevin serves as the Assistant Pastor for Ministry Training at Holy Trinity Church in Chicago, Illinois. He took on the role of Director of Ministries for the Charles Simeon Trust in 2024, having been on the team in different capacities since 2016. Kevin has served as lecturer in New Testament and Greek at the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Osijek, Croatia and as the Principal of Kinshasa Christian School in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the Moody Bible Institute and completed an MDiv at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is married to Alyssa and they live with their children, Manny and Sayira, in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago.
Dan Crichton
Senior Pastor, Grace Bible Church
Dan Crichton has served as senior pastor of Grace Bible Church since 2008. Prior to this he served as a church-planting missionary in Rustenburg, South Africa, and on pastoral teams in Rhode Island and Johannesburg, South Africa. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Studies from Tennessee Temple University and a Master’s of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Carey Hughes
Senior Pastor, Christ the Redeemer
After getting a teaching degree from Columbia Bible College in 1992 Carey worked as the Jr. High Pastor at College Church in Wheaton, Illinois for several years before moving to Sydney, Australia to attend Moore Theological College/Seminary where he received a Master of Theology. In 1999, he and his family moved to Spokane, Washington to be part of a small church plant called Christ the Redeemer. He has now served at the church for the past 25 years as Youth Pastor, Family Pastor, and for the past 16 years as the Senior Pastor.
