What Is It?
The Workshop on Biblical Exposition is a three-day training event aimed to encourage and equip you in the skills needed to read, understand, and proclaim the Word of God.
Who Should Attend?
The Workshops on Biblical Exposition are for men who are responsible for regularly preaching and teaching. We also welcome those in bi-vocational ministries as well as those training for ministry.
How Should I Prepare?
During the small groups, you will have an opportunity to get feedback on work you’ve prepared in advance.
Godwin Sathianathan
Lead Pastor, Faith Evangelical Free Church
Godwin Sathianathan is the Lead Pastor of Faith Evangelical Free Church in Milford, OH (a suburb of Cincinnati). Previously he served at churches in Massachusetts and Michigan. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Godwin also earned an MDiv from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary and a ThM from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He has written for the Gospel Coalition, For the Church, and the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood.
Dave Cartwright
Director of Online Training
Dave serves as the Director of Online Training for the Charles Simeon Trust. He earned his MDiv and ThM in New Testament Studies from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. After completing a pastoral residency in Richmond, Virginia, Dave moved across the country to serve and pastor a church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 2021, he relocated to Chicago to be a student at the Chicago Course on Preaching. In his role as Director of Online Training, Dave oversees all of our Online Courses, helping train churches and individuals to use them well. He also oversees many translation projects to the Courses in several languages.

Josh Black
Lead Pastor, First Evangelical Free Church
Josh Black is the Lead Pastor of First Evangelical Free Church in Wichita, Kansas. He earned a BA from Kansas State University and an MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. He also serves on the Board of the Classical School of Wichita.
